Woodsend is a small village of woodsmen North of summerbrook across the river. It is home to hunters and woodcutters, and produces a large portion of Summerbrooks lumber supplies and game meats, as well as wild herbs and medicines. Its lord is Lord Strongaxe, a gruff woodcutter who defended the town against raiding parties during the war and was given lordship for his courageous acts. While there is no official market, the large circle in the center of the town is usually filled with the tents of local and traveling traders alike. Being a town in the middle of a forest, many of the villagers follow the five regardless of the law, because of the religion’s ties to nature. The town even has a local druid of the five. In the very center of the town is a temple of the five, a weirwood tree surrounded by a wall.

Recently, the Crusade of the Seven came to Woodsend demanding that Lord Strongaxe declare his men for the seven and join their cause. When lord Strongaxe refused to open his gates to religious fanatics of the seven, the crusaders declared him an enemy and traitor to the nation for following an illegal religion and stormed his holdfast. The crusaders now control Woodhall and are using it as a base of operations for lumber and supplies. They have left the town of Woodsend alone, but without the guard and financial help from Lord Strongaxe, the town has begun to suffer…
